Beach Houses To Rent This Spring

By: Michelle Richards

Spring Fever is in full effect, especially if you live in a colder climate. These AirBNB rentals all have something in common… They are all located near the beach. You won’t want to miss these five AirBNBs; here’s a chance to check some locations off of your travel bucket list.

  1. Dauphin Island, ALABAMA - Bird’s Nest

The Bird’s Nest is located on top of a protected dune with spectacular views of Pelican Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, where you can take in the fabulous views of the water from the screened-in porch or from the private hot tub. Even if it’s chilly, you can still see the sights from a cozy bench in the kitchen, all while enjoying your morning coffee. Once it warms up, you can step off the deck with nothing but sand between you and the shoreline.

This home has an elevator that enters from the concrete drive and opens to the main living level. Bird lovers will enjoy scanning the trees for the variety of birds that call Dauphin Island home. If you are visiting The Bird’s Nest during the cooler seasons, the wood-burning stove is a great way to warm up after taking a walk or bird watching.

Bienville Beach is a short walk away; a mile away, you'll find Ship & Shore Supplies Inc., which provides everything you need to keep your pantry stocked during your stay. Two-and-a-half miles East, you’ll find the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, where there are maritime forests and walking trails full of spectacular wildlife.

2. Cannon Beach, OREGON - Cozy Cottage

This charming cottage in Cannon Beach, Oregon, is the perfect place for your next getaway. It is clean and modern, with Spanish-style fountains and firepits providing the perfect place to relax. Enjoy the short, two-minute walk to the beach, with the downtown area only a few short blocks away. If you don’t feel like leaving the grounds (we don’t blame you!), you can stay put and enjoy the outdoor patio area or jacuzzi tub. This beautiful cottage sleeps three guests, is pet-friendly, and provides complimentary bikes for exploring town. The reviews are great, with plenty of openings in March and throughout the Spring.

3. Sag Harbor, NEW YORK - Sag Harbor Cottage

Renovated to perfection, this fully equipped fresh & modern beach cottage has an open-plan living room, dining room, and kitchen - all with high ceilings and immaculate finishings - as well a sunny lower-level TV room. A broad mahogany deck with a large outdoor shower and gas BBQ grill runs the full length of the house, overlooking a roomy lawn with privacy, a fire pit, and mature landscaping.

The cottage is less than 1,000 feet from the stunning mile-long stretch of sand called Long Beach. Soak in the sun as you look out across Peconic Bay, with Shelter Island and the North Fork on the horizon. The water here warms up faster than the ocean, making it a great option for early-season swimming. This rental has great reviews and plenty of availability to book in the spring, so plan your getaway ASAP.

4. Rehoboth Beach, DELAWARE - Silver Lake condo

This condo is located on the most beautiful and secluded part of Rehoboth Beach, right next to Turtle Beach. A pedestrian wooden bridge takes you across the lake. Eat breakfast on the patio on Silver Lake, go for a swim in the pool, or walk to the beach; the choice is yours. Feel like venturing out? Restaurants and plenty of shopping are located downtown, only a few minutes away.

5. Nantucket, MASSACHUSETTS - Bright and Stylish two bedroom

This AirBNB features a newly-renovated two bedroom, one bathroom first floor unit, complete with its own entrance in a convenient mid island area. This rental, located  in the beautiful Nantucket, MA,  is perfect for a family getaway or a trip with a small group of friends. The space is warm and cozy, with a great living area with a couch and sleeping sofa (twin size); enough room to sleep up to five people. There is also a deck with an outdoor shower and BBQ, as well as parking available for two cars. Of the two bedrooms, one has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds.
