Janna Ronert is the founder and chairwoman of the board at IMAGE Skincare: the clean, clinical skincare brand founded in 2003 that has become recognized worldwide for being efficacious and affordable with over 25,000 customers across 60 countries. The celebrity favorite collection is now a direct-to-consumer go-to on the shelves of prestigious retailers and in select spas and salons across the world. After suffering from rosacea for most of her life, Janna—a fully trained, licensed esthetician—formulated what has become the award-winning IMAGE Skincare Vital C Hydrating Anti-Aging Serum in her own kitchen. Then, along with her plastic surgeon husband Dr. Marc Ronert, along with a team of chemists, physicians, and skincare professionals, they went on to develop IMAGE Skincare into the 30+ product line it is today, becoming the #1 spa and salon professional skincare brand in the US. Additionally, she and her husband co-founded a luxury nutraceutical range called Hush & Hush in 2018, further cementing her authority within the beauty and wellness industries.
Originally from Nebraska, Janna has always dreamt of inspiring women across the world with her passion, dynamism, and leadership. Thanks to this dream, she is now active in several organizations including C200 (the preeminent global organization for women business leaders), where she serves as council leader for entrepreneurial success; IWF (International Women’s Forum); WBC (Women’s Business Collaborative); finally, she is the founder of Rise Up, which is MidOcean Partners’ women’s empowerment group.
Janna is also committed to giving back to her community: in 2011, she founded the Care for Skin Foundation, a charitable foundation with a board of medical directors dedicated to helping patients from developing countries in need of skin replacement. She currently lives in West Palm Beach with her husband, daughter, and son.

What was the goal you were striving for when perfecting the hydrating vitamin C serum in your own kitchen?
The goal was to strike a balance of combating rosacea with botanical ingredients to hydrate and soothe dry, dehydrated skin. This has been our number one product in our brand since 2003; goal accomplished!
What is your favorite IMAGE product?
This is hard to say, since every product that I formulate with the team is my new favorite. The VITAL C Collection, our first collection in 2003, is still my all-time favorite.
What is the benefit of seeing an esthetician regularly? How often do you recommend?
An esthetician is trained to assess issues you might not see in the mirror, such as dry skin or irritation, and customize a solution. They are also trained to use a higher grade of skincare, which will help drive faster and more impactful skincare results than at home.
We typically recommend every six weeks, but if you are treating the skin for a specific condition (such as acne), you may need to visit your esthetician more often.
What is the “Image 360” approach?
The IMAGE 360 approach is an expertly developed, comprehensive, 360-degree approach to skincare to help guide clients on their paths to healthy, vibrant skin. It includes recommendations for a treatment every six weeks, followed by using our prescribed IMAGE Skincare products and checking in regularly with an esthetician. Connecting regularly with an esthetician will help clients stay on track with their evolving concerns and skin goals.
How do IMAGE professionals customize at-home regimens and treatment plans for customers?
This is the core of IMAGE Skincare: a personalized treatment plan. The skin needs a healthy diet of many ingredients and treatments, so each client’s esthetician and physician offer a simple 4-product regime to solve their customers’ chief concerns. The routine starts with a cleanser, anti-aging serum, nighttime cream, and the all-important moisturizer with built-in sunscreen. Of course, the customized plan can include more products, but the core 4 are where we start.
Do you have any future plans or goals for IMAGE Skincare?
We constantly innovate and continue to lead in professional skincare because we launch clinically proven products to do what we say they will do. In the meantime, the science will back up our claims of our "age later" philosophy. □
