One of a kind textures, limited edition fabrics, and hand-sewn feminine embellishments are the signatures that bring individual character to every piece. From brunch to beach to nights out on the town, Saltwater Luxe carries you effortlessly from one sun-kissed adventure to the next.

Hi Christa and Kristy! Can you share with us your history with each other and how you teamed up to create Saltwater Luxe?

We met and both studied fashion design at Cal State Long Beach. We then moved on to design together for brands like Scrapbook, Roxy, Billabong and Rip Curl. After many years of this we felt like it was the right time in our careers to start our own like so we finally took the plunge in October, 2015.

When did your passion for clothing start, and what led you both to pursue the industry?

Christa: I have always loved clothing and fashion since I was a child and knew that someday I would want to incorporate that into my day-to-day life. The fact that I get to see so many people wearing our pieces everyday is confirmation that I am doing what I am supposed to.

Kristy: I was always into fashion and growing up, I was super creative. I loved to buy fabric and sew my own outfits so it was only fitting that I went into the fashion industry.

What are some of your favorite collections you’ve created together so far?

We can’t pinpoint an exact collection that is our favorite because we love so many of them. We are so proud of our our eco-friendly collections! We have been able to incorporate eco-vero and recycled fabrications into the line creating meaningful products that are environmentally conscientious.

What is the inspiration behind your beautiful & aesthetic collections?

We draw inspiration from our own personal experiences and daily life. We definitely review the runway shows and current trends but tend to go back to what inspires each of us individually rather than follow what is happening in the current market. We are constantly inspired by vintage pieces and beautiful prints.

Could you describe the mission behind Saltwater Luxe?

After constantly looking for the perfect balance of beach chic and luxury that could be worn anywhere and not finding it- we decided it was time to create it. We wanted to offer feel good, feminine pieces to women everywhere.

What does the future look like for Saltwater Luxe?

We are so excited to show the new Summer 23 product. The collection guarantees to maintain the brand aesthetic with novelty fabrications and elevated design detail. With an emphasis on brighter colors and print combinations, the collection was designed to carry from daytime into night time and will be the perfect addition to any wardrobe. Print mixing and Summer hues give way to many of this season’s absolute must-haves. Our radiant beach babe will find herself layering textures and being drawn to pared down feminine silhouettes with a hint of luxe. We will continue to offer feel good, feminine pieces to women everywhere, and encourage them to rock the beachy luxe look all year round.
