What is one thing you believe that every room or space needs?

A lamp! Or, honestly, multiple lamps. Ambient lighting instantly changes the entire mood of a room. It’s crazy what a lamp can do, especially because overhead lights aren’t the best. It also just makes a room feel more warm and cozy!

What is your favorite thing that you have created for an interior space, and where did you get the inspiration to create it?

I painted a mural on a 30-foot staircase, which was so much fun and definitely added a lot to my client’s home. The mural was inspired by several styles, but mainly the art deco era. The artwork that I added was inspired by a style called aesthetic movement.

I normally find most of my inspo from my collection of art and interior design books. When I find myself in a creative block, I sit down and admire these wonderful books.

What are your personal and professional goals for 2022?

This year, I’m focusing on expanding my decorating company and creating the perfect team! One of my personal goals is to get more involved in the education world by making online courses and attending more workshops on design.

What is a must-have Amazon Product that you can’t live without?

My new govee products, which lighting related. I just got this new smart-light that goes behind my TV and has a sensor that switches the lighting depending on the scene. I actually just posted a video on my TikTok about this... it makes watching movies an entirely different experience! I also have a few other lights from them that have helped to elevate the space and make my home feel more cozy. As I mentioned, ambient lighting is so important in a home!
