Tori Dunlap is an internationally recognized financial and career expert, podcast host, and author. After saving $100,000 at age 25, Tori quit her corporate job in marketing and founded the education platform Her First $100K to fight financial inequality by giving women actionable resources to better their money. I want to help women create wealth. Finance is constantly controlled by male finance bros. Tell us a little about yourselves! Sam: I love all things relating to fashion and social media. From a young age, dreamt of being a YouTuber and would make and edit videos with my friends. I later decided to go to Washington State University and major in apparel merchandising.
Hello, my name is Jadyn Hailey. I am nineteen years old, from San Diego, California! My life revolves around wellness, positivity, beauty, and, most of all, fashion. I am a full-time content creator on social media and an entrepreneur in founding my podcast, "Busy, Yet Pretty."
A few years ago, I was building a DTC brand and struggling to figure out my next steps. At the time, I was talking to my girlfriends, who were business founders, asking them questions about their own strategies: growth, hiring, challenges, etc.
I had always desired a career where I could travel, work from home, make my own schedule and feel creatively fulfilled. Even though I wanted all of those things, they felt completely out of reach for me.
We discussed starting the podcast years ago-- long before COVID-19. We bonded over our frustration with the amount of pseudoscience on the internet, particularly around vaccines. When COVID-19 happened, people in our respective networks turned to us for information and guidance.
I started my YouTube channel in 2016 during my senior year of high school. A few months earlier, I had been scouted to NYC by one of the top modeling agencies in the world to meet in-person. It was my dream come true! Until I got there and they told me I was too short at 5'8".
I had a tricky relationship with food since I was a teen, when I developed some eating disorders for a few years. Creating a really healthy relationship with food became a passion for me to share with others, after I became fully free, because I wanted others to know how they could become free also.
How did you get started in your career? I went to SUNY Albany because I thought I wanted to be a journalist, and I worked my way up through the ranks of the school newspaper and became the editor of the Arts and Leisure section.
Proof that a diet can naturally heal you and improve your health, TedX speaker and podcaster Mikhaila Peterson started The Lion Diet. Mikhaila was able to successfully overcome severe autoimmune and mood disorders, becoming completely medicine and symptom free with only diet and lifestyle changes.
What were your early inspirations that set you off on your particular journey? Moving to SF when I was 19 years old I was immediately curious and inspired by all the different heirloom local vegetables and the dining scene. Places like Slanted Door, when they were still in the Mission and Zuni Cafe were inspirations.
How did your passion for sports begin and how did you get to where you are today? I have loved watching sports ever since I was a little girl, whether with my parents, my brothers and family friends. By the time I was 11, I could rattle off stats, analysis and everything in between. To celebrate my Sweet 16, my dad took me to a NFC Championship game.

If I could share one piece of advice to someone who’s just starting out in business it would be to chase your purpose as opposed to chasing money. It’s so easy to see what seems to be making other people money and want to copy or join the bandwagon.
Your podcast is absolutely amazing. What compelled you to start a podcast? I (Scout here!) had my own podcast years ago but it was becoming stale. I wasn't treating it like a business and wasn't the most strategic on messaging, growth, or community building.

Tell us about yourself and some of your passions. I was born into a very loving and nurturing family and raised on the East Side of Baltimore. You could always find hugs, kisses, kind words, and great seafood! I was and I still am a “girly-girl.” I loved to dress up and have tea parties with my favorite teddy bears and baby dolls.
Ally Petitti is a young woman to watch. Born into a large Italian family in Westchester, New York, and raised by divorced parents, the 24-year-old moved to Los Angeles to enter USC’s Music Industry Bachelor of Science program and pursue her dream of a career within the industry itself. Since moving to LA, Ally has overcome considerable adversity but has charged forth in her pursuits with the sort of confidence and determination that relatively few possess.
