Few things can wear us down like pain. Pain gets our attention in ways other things can’t - the blaring alarm that deep down, something is not right. Pain is a warning system alerting us to the presence of inflammation, of woundedness, of a system out whack, in need of recalibration. It’s easy to associate chronic pain with older people, but we often overlook the many young men and women, even children, who face this struggle daily.

Eating fresh, wholesome foods made with love can transform your life. The Mediterranean diet is widely considered one of the healthiest ways to eat. I spent my childhood close to Bulgaria, where the food philosophy is very similar. My family sat down to home-cooked meals every day.
From the many challenges I have faced in life, I have learned that challenges are made up of two parts: the actual circumstance, and the outlook you choose to embody towards that circumstance. After phases of burnout, I feel a burst of motivation to nourish myself and rebuild my daily routine. Eventually, however, the spark fades and I once again fall into a monotonous cycle dictated by habits that do not serve me, which accumulate and lead to burnout once again. With increasing research on their effects, these drugs are no longer only utilized for recreational use but have expanded to help treat mental health disorders like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

In my mind, busy = safe, at least until I burn out.
