The Best Friends Behind Sainte Social, Juliana & Andie

Introduce yourselves. What's your story? What do you do?

Hi, our names are Andie and Juliana, and we are the Co-Founders of Sainte Social, a digital marketing agency based in Los Angeles. We also founded an event space, Sainte Studio, in Downtown Los Angeles, as a space where creatives and businesses can rent spaces to shoot in.

After studying graphic design in Tennessee, I moved across the country to Los Angeles, where I fell in love with branding and marketing. I have always had a deep admiration for all things design, from interior design to videography to event planning. I decided to turn that love into a career by co-starting my own creative agency, Sainte Social, alongside my best friend. I handle creative vision, video production, and business acquisition at Sainte Social. - Andie

I always knew that I would want to pursue a career in an industry where I could be creative. I started my journey in fashion and wedding photography about seven years ago. Once the pandemic hit, I reevaluated my pursuits and decided begin my own creative agency with my best friend, which is now Sainte Social! - Juliana

What's your favorite part about your job?

Other than working with my best friend, my favorite part of my job is definitely the ability to stay creative. Digital marketing is an ever-changing industry. Many aspects of marketing may never change, but living in the digital world that we live in, it's safe to say there will always be an ever-evolving approach to marketing. It's a business that definitely keeps us on our toes! - Juliana

What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a career within your industry?

Don't let what other people are doing discourage you from starting! The hardest part is deciding to start. So start that business you've been dreaming of. I'm a firm believer in, 'if you don't quit, you win.’ - Juliana

What's your morning routine?

My morning routine starts off early. I wake up around 6 AM and I don’t touch my phone for the first hour. I make my morning coffee in my Chemex and spend some quiet time reading the Bible, praying, and setting intentions for the day as I drink my coffee. Then I do my skincare routine, get dressed, and head straight to the gym - fasted - where I usually do a strength training workout at my local gym in Santa Monica. I try to spend my mornings focusing on my health and self-care rather than jumping right into work. - Andie

I think that the morning is the most crucial time of day, as it sets the intention for the rest of your day. I'm very similar to Andie: I wake up early, make coffee, read, and prioritize my mental and spiritual health before jumping into work. A solid workout in the morning always helps me feel ready for the day as well! - Juliana

How do you define success?

Success isn’t just about reaching goals. I feel like the most important factor of being successful in life having determination and resilience. You can’t quit when it gets hard. You have to get back up, learn, evolve and keep going. - Andie

I believe that success is subjective. We have to first define what we value the most and pursue that above anything that society pushes us to believe that success is. If time is the most important to you, then use that as a motivator to pursue your version of success. - Juliana

What are your goals for 2022, both in business and your personal life? Dream collabs?

Setting goals is my favorite thing to do. A few goals that I’m trying to focus on for 2022 are to prioritize rest and alone time. Rest doesn’t come naturally to me - I am someone who is constantly going - and it's hard to slow down, but, this year, I want to make sure that I intentionally take time to rest. Additionally, Sainte Social is working on a secret project that we hope to launch in 2023… I have to keep it secret for now, but we expect big things for next year. - Andie

This year, I intend to get completely out of my comfort zone. I have always found my way ‘behind-the-scenes,’ so this year, I am pushing myself more out of what my usual comfort zone would be. I am also so excited to see all that is in store for Sainte Social. A few dream partnerships for us would definitely be Set Active, Seed, and Tequila 818. - Juliana
