2022: The Year of Power and Patience

Each New Year I develop a mantra to guide me through the next season of life, this year's is Patience & Power.
There’s something so enlightening about starting a business, committing to the daily growth of it, and having faith that it will be blessed. A newfound energy emerges to the surface when one realizes just how powerful they are. When you start to grasp the weight of your work and the impact it has on people, there is a sense of strength that arises from within. This new power you access breeds a strong trust in your abilities to grow and adapt. This power builds your confidence, eliminates imposter syndrome and proves undoubtedly that your fears have been lying to you.
I've often observed negative stigma around the concept of power and I want to encourage a narrative change. For me, power is an active display of one’s true confidence within and their willingness to fulfill their purpose no matter the obstacle. Recently, I have started to experience this feeling of power and I believe it comes from the solid trust I have formed in not only my abilities, but also within myself. This feeling has transformed the way I hold myself in everyday life, I have stepped into my own, begun to take myself seriously and respect the framework of growth that led me to this inner power.
I strongly believe in a purpose driven life. When you take that first step towards making your purpose a reality, your foundation strengthens and you will uncover parts of yourself that you never knew before. You will see what you are actually capable of and observe your power starting to emerge. It is truly a gift, to fully harness divine feminine energy, honor your heart's wishes and the purpose you believe you are on this earth for. You will feel lighter, happier, inspired and fulfilled. Your inner child will thank you.

The journey is a beautiful one, full of messy ups and downs, remember to be patient with yourself as you learn and grow. Your power is on the other side of your self-perceived potential, it's just waiting for you to take that first step. For some, that first step could be as small as listening to your inner voice, acknowledging your desires, or choosing to honor your desires by making them a reality. For others, it’s putting together a game plan and saying “fu*k what others think, I’m doing this for myself and myself only.”
Lastly, stepping into your power could mean huge lifestyle change for you and others in your life. It could mean taking a risk, leaving a bad relationship, moving, changing careers, or ending friendships that no longer serve you. Whatever it is, I can promise you it won't be easy but it will be worth it. You have one life, what are you waiting for? □
