CADA Founders, Camila & Juliana Mejia

Introduce yourself & Cada Consult to our audience. Why did you start Cada Consult?

J:  Hi! I’m Juliana Mejia, born in Colombia and raised most of my life in Weston, FL, a small suburban city outside of Miami. I currently create out-of-this-world experiences, designs, and campaigns with my agency CADA Consult. My love for all things wellness and sustainability evidently gave me the idea to launch CADA in 2018 as an experiential marketing agency for purpose-driven brands and curated locations (pre-COVID times!). My sister Camila joined in as a partner a year after.

My 10+ year expertise in marketing, event production, retail, and branding for some of the biggest retail developers in the nation such as CBRE, Simon Property, and Miami Design District, has allowed me to create memorable experiences and result-driven marketing campaigns for various mindful and luxury brands.

C: Hey guys, I’m Camila Mejia! Excited to share a little bit about myself! Growing up, I always had a passionate calling towards sustainability and wellness. I also had an ease for numbers which later led me to graduate as an engineer with a business administration minor from the University of Florida. After graduating and leaving the corporate world, I joined CADA Consult in September 2019 with the intention to fulfill my passion.

CADA has always been a purpose-driven agency specifically niched towards sustainable, spiritual, and wellness industries.

CADA was mostly known for its events, but in the midst of summer 2020, my sister and I shifted our services. We then co-founded our now boutique marketing agency to help our specific niche get their purpose out into the world in the most effective way. Our mission is to offer sustainable business solutions that welcome the transition towards a more conscious lifestyle.

What sparked your interest in entrepreneurship?

J: Our parents are both entrepreneurs. From a young age they instilled that mentality and taught us to work hard for a purpose. I began to study marketing in high school, read business books, and paid for my study abroad program by selling products that I loved online. The idea of supporting purpose-driven businesses and guiding conscious consumers throughout their journey will always excite me!

C: Our parents' hard working example has always been the spark. Even as a kid, from the lemonade stands in elementary, to selling DECA cookies in high school, and business courses in college, the entrepreneurial drive has always been there. There’s nothing like having the freedom and responsibility to bring a vision to life that gives value to others.

What is your long-term vision for Cada Consult?

J&C: To facilitate the world’s transition towards an existence that’s conscious of sustainable responsibility and holistic wellness. To help people find fulfillment through connection, education, and community. We would love to have a huge educational/consulting platform one day offering courses and programs on how to achieve this.

How would you define success?

J: Success is the feeling of wholeness and fulfillment in all the different aspects of your everyday life.

C: Success is waking up excited and easily falling asleep feeling accomplished.

What are you excited about most for 2022?

J&C: Our CADA COOKS BIZ online courses! We will be launching courses for both business owners and individuals interested in having and maintaining a work/life balance. You can sign up to our newsletter to stay tuned, you’re in for sweet surprises!

Do you have any advice for the next generation of women in business?

J: I read this somewhere and wrote it down:

We can be strong, and still be soft.

We can be independent, and still need support.

We can be direct, and still be kind.

We can be listeners, and still have a voice.

We can be understanding, and still have boundaries.

C: Don't let your fears or failures hold you back from what you would like to create in the world. If you’re overwhelmed, reevaluate your to-do list and ask for help. The hardships are guidance towards the solutions that await. Remain open to the lessons while being patient, consistent, and easy on yourself.
