Founder Of The Curated Agency, Gabrielle Kirven

What gave you the idea to start The Curated Agency and what was the journey like starting the agency?

It was time for me to start the agency. I was ready to expand, aim higher, and put all of my skillsets into one ‘house.’ Not only that, my previous workload was becoming a lot for me to handle on my own. I eventually put out a hiring board and built a team of people who understood the digital marketing space and shared the same values as I do. I can now say I have a core group of people who want the best for my agency and who make strides to become greater every day.

You now have an impressive roster of clients but do you have a dream client you’d like to work with in the future?

Thank you! I actually have several clients I would like to work with; some in the talent management space and some in content management

Aside from building your agency, what are your other passions and hobbies?

Good question! I love to run in the park, go to the movies, and try new restaurants around the city!

Do you have any tips/advice for anyone pursuing entrepreneurship?

Always put your best foot forward and go above and beyond whatever is asked of you. Clients will always notice and appreciate this. Essentially, this will set you apart from working with someone else.

How have you seen the social media space change since you started your social media career?

Social Media, no, but influencer marketing, yes; I’ll speak on why I say no to social media: it is all about strategy, so it is still the same as it has always been. Yes, the focus has shifted towards videos, but the need for strategy has always been there: what type of content are you going to post, how many times a day, what product are you promoting, etc. Strategy is number one when it comes to social media and that has not changed. □
