How did you develop a passion for food and body?

I had a tricky relationship with food since I was a teen, when I developed some eating disorders for a few years. Creating a really healthy relationship with food became a passion for me to share with others, after I became fully free, because I wanted others to know how they could become free also. We need to eat every day, so if there is an unhealthy relationship with food, you can’t go as deeply into healing and nourishing other parts of your life to fully thrive. So food is the starting point.

However, food is not the end point. It’s supportive to total wellness. Wellness is about being whole, so as I’ve discovered as my career progressed. It’s crucial to go into the other areas of your life, which is where my 4 Cornerstones philosophy came from: Food, Body, Emotional Well-being and Spiritual Growth. I’ve found after working with hundreds of clients, readers, sisters in our Solluna Circle and in my own experience, that we have to nourish all parts of us to live an ultimately amazing, joyful, peaceful and deeply fulfilling life.

How did Solluna get started, and what does it look like now?

It started when I started departing away from just talking and teaching about food, after my third and fourth books (the latter being Radical Beauty, which I co-authored with Deepak Chopra). Today, I recognize so clearly the need to help support people across all the 4 Cornerstones, so at Solluna we have offerings in each:

  • Food: my first two books, recipes, courses like the 30 Day Roadmap for Healthy Weight Loss

    1. Body: supplements, including our amazing SBO Probiotics and Detoxy, an oxygen and vitamin C supplement that flushes waste without being habit-forming, and is incredibly anti-aging. Also, high-performance, non-toxic amazing skincare! My fav is the stable ASC2-P Vitamin C serum!!

    2. Emotional well-being: our Solluna Circle is a real sisterhood that we do virtually, as a membership part of our Solluna App. It involves a once a month live Zoom Circle where we all get to share and discuss a monthly theme (this month it’s Letting Go of Control), and daily chats and tips. It’s amazing!! Come join us if you feel inspired .

    3. Spiritual Growth: I offer free meditations on our website, and the app, and publish a new themed meditation once a week now.

Tell us about your podcast.

Our Feel Good podcast delves into all things lifestyle from a 4 Cornerstone perspective- getting past fear, creating and maintaining a healthy weight, food, spirituality, healthy boundaries, relationships, getting past comparing oneself to others and feeling enough, and so on. We have a guest on Mondays, and Thursdays we host our Q&A community podcast show, where the questions come right from the community. I love them both equally!

What is your why?

My why is to be an embodiment of love, to serve others, and to live from the True Self.

Who is your biggest supporter?

My husband, Jon, who is my true soulmate. We feel like we’ve been together for millions of years. We talk about everything and I respect his perspective he offers immensely, as I am enormously grateful for our partnership and connection. Additionally, my best friend John, who is my business partner at Solluna. He supports my vision and leads the practical parts of the business, like the operational and financial side of Solluna. Even if some of my ideas may seem out there! I am a visionary and so I go with my heart, and I’m grateful to have a “kapha” earth-based energy partner who can help make it all happen with an open heart.

Are you working on any big projects now?

I’m in final edits on my new book, which is coming this January!! It’s my sixth and best book yet, hands down. In the past, I’ve shared with people about my secret sauce for food and diet. However, now, this is my playbook for creating your dream life. In a real way. All the stuff that has really worked for me- from finding your true soulmate, tapping into your creative power until it explodes, creating true confidence, abundance, intuition and more. Can’t wait to share it with you!

I'm also psyched for a fertility, pregnancy and postpartum course that we are releasing in September. I want everyone to have the best possible experience as well (not necessarily as planned, yet feeling grounded and nourished in all ways along the journey)!

Finally, I’m putting a lot of my energy into the Solluna Circle that I mentioned before, because I think it’s an amazing way I can really support people. It’s amazing to see the transformations in people over just a few months since we started it, and I look forward to serving our sisters every day there.
