Tell us about yourself.

My journey began in my late 20s; at the time I was living an unhealthy and unhappy lifestyle in London. I found myself constantly switching jobs and struggling to find satisfaction at work. Desperate for a change, I decide to do something drastic: hiking 1000km, the length of of country of Israel. This adventure changes my life - and my outlook - in so many ways. On my journey, I noticed that few women were taking advantage of the outdoors... so I decided to do something about it! This is how my women's adventure community, Love Her Wild, came to be.

Tell us about Love Her Wild and the mission of your company.

Love Her Wild has taken thousands of women on adventures around the world; we have over 30,000 members! Our mission is simple - we want more women to experience all the outdoors has to offer. Not only do our adventures improve physical and mental wellbeing, but they connect women with nature as they learn about conservation issues.

What has your most memorable moment been while on a Love Her Wild journey?

There are so many! Perhaps the scariest - and the one that stands out the most - was a very "close call" while kick-scooting from Canada to Mexico. While we were in the Redwood forests, a tree fell without warning or obvious cause, landing mere meters from where we were camping. The sound as it cracked in half and hit the ground was deafening. The moments in which we scrambled to escape our tent were petrifying!

Tell us about your first travel experience and how it went.

My first travel experience was when I was 18, when I flew to Kenya to do volunteer work. I was so nervous before the flight, but the overall experience was amazing. It allowed my love for travel and charity work to blossom, as it really "hit home" that I was fortunate to be born into the life that I previously took for granted.

Where is somewhere you want to travel to, but have not yet? Why?

I would love to go diving at Raja Ampat, where there are untouched coral reefs to explore. Between having a young baby at home and the travel restrictions put into place due to the pandemic, I may need to wait a bit longer until I am able to make it happen. I don’t mind, though, since things are often even better if you have to wait for them to happen!
