Alignment Coach & Spiritual Entrepreneur, HeyJune Jeon
What is alignment and why is it so important?
Studies show again and again that growth is what makes us happy. Alignment is similar to growth. However, I define alignment as "pulling in the different parts of yourself to serve the soul's goal." The soul's goal is for you to become the best version of yourself that is possible. Contrary to popular belief, this is not an easy, smooth, overnight process. There's a TON of self-discovery required, as well as a constant acquiring & sharpening of skills. I actually don't think being in alignment is for everyone; the whole journey requires you to make difficult choices and be uncomfortable endlessly. It's OK if you'd rather be comfortable and remain as you are. For others, like me - who are wired to want to be better spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically - alignment is not only important, but it's a way of life. You are constantly pulling in the 'inadequate' or 'underdeveloped' parts of yourself and working on them. What does being out of alignment look like? Being stagnant, unfulfilled, distracted, not manifesting, etc.
Tell us a story about manifestation that would challenge a skeptic's take on "spirituality."
My new career is a manifestation success story (creative freedom, successful online business, digital nomad, etc). Not only did I never think I could quit the 9-5, I had people ACTIVELY telling me that I could never be a full-time creative and help people for a living. The thing with manifesting is, the biggest results come to you when you take the biggest risks (often with little to no support or guarantees.) Lots of people thought that I was walking away from a good life when I quit tech. But I listened to my intuition (TRUST it!!) and, now, I don't look back at all. When you create something out of nothing despite all odds, how is that NOT a spiritual act?
How does one access the fullness of their power? What does this process look like?
I built a school exclusively focusing on accessing fullness, called Pheydrus Academy, which now has over 1000 raving students and has created many wonderful transformations. It starts with understanding your shadow (this is where inner child healing and shadow work is popularized), but what I emphasize is that at some point you have to transcend that (limiting beliefs, trauma, etc,) and start not only living but CREATING your life. This means setting a target and actively moving towards it by taking action (at this stage, you're already moving towards alignment). If you think this is easy, you'll be surprised. Many of us don't know what we really want, and, when we do, we don't know how to go about it. In summary, the minute you start putting energy into creating, building, and problem-solving, you are getting your power back.
What are your top favorite books/podcasts and why?
My two recent favorite YouTube channels are "We are Man Enough" and Leila Hormozi's YouTube channel. The first one involves men opening up about their struggles with vulnerability, overcoming addiction, insecurities, etc. The second one is about entrepreneurship (Leila is the founder of Acquisition.com and has sold multiple successful companies). I find that what she teaches is very similar to what I teach in my spiritual-practice-based business class (she uses the term ‘alignment’ as well). Both are HEAVILY devoted to leveraging spirituality as a way to success: combating and tackling one's demons head-on to become a better individual, and making difficult choices for long-term gain & fulfillment, rather than short-term pleasure.
What are you looking forward to most in 2022?
Continuing to expand Pheydrus Academy, of course. I'm also looking forward to collaborating with like-minded entrepreneurs and creators. I just feel like there are SO many cool businesses and ideas out there that are about to change human lives forever; I'm involved in a few discussions. Also, by ‘like-minded,’ I mean conscientious, spiritual, and driven folks who put their growth above everything else and who make real changes in their lives and in the lives of others. When I was younger, I didn't really understand the "your tribe is your vibe" statement. I do now, especially as an entrepreneur. If you have a big mission, you really do need people that can truly support, inspire, and rally behind you (and vice versa). □
