From the Founder: Taking Time To Bloom

It's officially my favorite season. There is something so refreshing about springtime. I always associate spring with change, new beginnings, and hope.

For this April issue, I invited my dear friend Tara Blanchard outdoors to get creative and talk about what we are most looking forward to this season. Tara writes our spiritual section every month, so we always have deep and exciting conversations about how the Universe is connecting and growing us.

Tara and I put a blanket on a beautiful hillside under a large tree. We got out the watercolors, played music, and looked through her most recent custom-made creative journals. I was so excited to see the physical manifestation of her idea in the palm of my hands. Tara had mentioned wanting to create journals for a while; we discussed her vision and the inspiration behind even the most minor details.

Moments like this remind me how important it is to have community. Friendships are supposed to propel you past your potential and push you into making your dreams a reality. Valuable friends will support you but also hold you accountable. They provide you with solid roots to expand into new heights and opportunities.

As I was meditating on what I should talk about for this issue, I felt drawn to words such as wild, bloom, and time. All of these words relate to spring in their own unique way. Here is how each word is speaking to me this season.

Wild: Embrace your wild side. Your wild side might urge you to do things that intimidate you, challenge you, or surprise you. Embrace the messiness that shows up in life. Say something you were too shy to say before and stand by it. Go out more. Meet new people. Take risks. Just like wildflowers, be unpredictable, spontaneous, and accessible. Permit yourself to love this side to you wholeheartedly. Concerning newness, your inner wild child will show you new things about yourself and grow you.

Bloom: Flowers and trees bloom a lot this time of year. They show off their inner beauty that's been in hibernation for two seasons. Nature is unafraid to display its colors, shapes, and personality. We can learn from this. Instead of hiding all that's inside of you, put yourself on display unapologetically. It's okay to shine and live in the light. You are worth acknowledgment and recognition. It's time to be confident. Blooming is accepting who you are and believing you are worth it.

Time: Use your time wisely. Where are you planting seeds? Are you growing any seeds for your future? Make sure this spring you are setting your future self up for success in all areas of your life. Let this spring season remind you of all the future springs to come. Invest in yourself by investing in your future.

After combining these concepts, I am left with an invitation to embrace my wild side, approach this new season with confidence, and intentionally invest in my best self.

I am very excited about the April issue. H3R's team has put their heart and soul into this issue. I want to give my business partner, Danica Blaisdell, a special shoutout/dedication. You have been the most significant gift to me and H3R. Your determination, fantastic leadership skills, and standards of excellence make H3R possible.

Thank you to our dedicated readers who support this art every month. We appreciate you beyond measure.

I always love to hear what you have been up to this season. Email me at nicole@h3r.space if you would like to be featured or want to connect.
