From The Founder: Starting By Believing
Every December, I take a moment to sit and reflect. As part of this process, I always write down a simple phrase that resonates within; one that is symbolic of the new year to come.
Last December, I wrote down, "2021: The Year I Believe In Myself."
I couldn't begin to tell you how true that statement turned out to be. This entire year, I chose myself. I chose to believe in my abilities.
That self-belief manifested itself into what became H3R. Last December, as companies reeled from the losses of the pandemic, all of my freelance clients dropped me like a hat. When looking for solutions, I set out by researching women who built the lives of their dreams. I instantly became captivated by the women that I researched and was hungry to learn more.
My search for what business I wanted to start turned into my business model in and of itself. A magazine that interviews women in business.
I loved reading about every woman's unique journey through entrepreneurship. Each interview in H3R is really just the story of someone believing in themselves enough to pursue their own dreams.
Starting a company is hard; you really have to lean on yourself in times of doubt or insecurity. I am so thankful that I created H3R and for the purpose it has given me.
I know that this next year will be flooded with unexpected surprises, miracles, and lots of growth. With our 7th issue of H3R coming out this December, I am overjoyed by all of the support that H3R has received so far. Additionally, I feel so honored to feature Siphesihle Ndaba as our Covergirl this month.
Thank you to all of our readers; you mean so much to me. Thank you to the H3R team for all of your hard work and your continuous effort to put your best feet forward. I celebrate you. I believe in all of your individual talents, gifts, and dreams. Sending everyone lots of love and wishing you a happy holidays! □
Best,
Nicole
