From The Founder: Ready, Set, Grow!

Hello October, I've missed you.

October is the one month a year that consistently grounds me in place. It's like a bookmark in my mind, reminding me to pause and reflect on all the changes in the past year. I always conclude that I'm not the same person as the year before. I rewind through all that has happened in my personal life since last October. The growth always surprises me. It reveals parts of myself that I never knew before. I don't often think of how I've contributed to my growth, but rather how life has shaped me in unexpected ways.

October has always felt like the start of the holiday season for me. It's my "ready, set, go!" month. All the holidays start to trickle in: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and the New Year. The holiday season is such a rush for me, I find that many of my significant memories occur within these months. I love the increased connection, intention setting, and celebrations.

As I write this, I am tucked under a weighted blanket, laptop in my lap, candle flickering next to me with my 528 Hz frequency playlist vibrating in the background. It's 5 days before our October issue launch date, I'm thinking about all that has happened this month and I get butterflies as I recall all of the exciting things that took place. Like a flipbook in my mind, image by image, page by page, I remember the interviews that flooded our inbox, our eCommerce store launch, and the incredible opportunities that crossed my desk. It's a slideshow of healthy progress. As I am reflecting on everything, I try and think of a key message I want to pass along.

The word that comes to mind is gratitude. I am overwhelmingly thankful for the H3R team and their unwavering commitment to our H3R mission. Each month comes with surprises and lessons that follow. Oftentimes surprises can be burdensome, inconvenient, and create more problems than anticipated. There usually is a lot of growth during these moments of tribulation. I encourage businesswomen to see these surprises as blessings in disguise. Sometimes you have to take a few steps back to move forward. Overall, I think it is important to have faith that everything is working out for good especially for those who are truly dedicated to the success of their business.

I want to hear about your unexpected "business surprises" and how they shaped you as a business owner. What helped you adjust your mindset to see things differently? To see difficulties as gifts? Was it easier or harder than you thought? I want to hear from you! Email me at nicole@h3r.space to share your story.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween! Don't forget to tag us in your Halloween photos, we can't wait to see your costume! Until next month! Sending hugs!
