Upleveler Society Founder & Nashville-Based Holistic Business Coach, Tiffany Napper

Tired of witnessing talented women put their dreams on the back burner—or worse, completely lose their spark—Tiffany Napper launched the Upleveler Society.

A Nashville-based holistic business coach and decade-strong entrepreneur, Tiffany proves no stranger to the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. With four successful ventures under her belt, she now spends most of her days helping female founders overcome years of struggle to build sustainable empires that bring them abundance and joy.

Through coaching and community, **the Upleveler Society helps gutsy dream chasers expand their side hustle to a full-time hustle (and from five to six figures) by creating a plan aligned with their heart and planning a clear track for growth.

Additionally, Uplevelers report a greater sense of peace, waking up with more energy, and treating themselves with more compassion; they know their value and are ready to leave their mark on the world. Tiffany believes **an abundantly rich life is about so much more than the number of dollars in a bank account, so wellbeing stays at the heart of the Upleveler Society.

Since launching her entertainment and wellness PR agency in 2011, she has worked with artists, global health companies, filmmakers, and musicians, including Grandmaster Flash and Elton John. She has run PR campaigns that stretch from Good Day New York to the LA Times, believing that knowing how to tell a good story is at the heart of every successful business.

What are some tips for building a business while avoiding burnout?

Schedule time for joy. Make space for an activity that doesn't have a quantifiable ROI, like going to a concert, taking a yoga class, or taking up a new hobby. It’s important to create boundaries around your working hours and hold yourself to them.

Next, outsource, outsource, outsource! I know it can feel scary in the early stages of your business to put that hard-earned money and faith in someone else. The only way you’ll be able to build a business that can sustain you for years ahead is if you allow yourself to lean on others, even if it’s small tasks like bookkeeping or inbox management.

Why is self-care especially important for an entrepreneur?

Your business will only be as strong as its leader, and if you're an entrepreneur, that's you! So, invest in yourself. Remember that self-care is essential, not optional. As opposite as it feels, rest is productive. Have you ever gone for a massage or sat in a sauna, and as you’re lying there, a brilliant idea comes to you? That’s because our brains need time to decompress in order to operate at their best. Rest reduces our stress levels, improves clarity, and sparks creativity. Rather than hustling harder, try resting more. You’ll be a better business owner for it.

What are some strategies first-time business owners can implement to grow their business?

  1. Simplify to amplify. Focus on one offer at a time to reduce confusion within the marketplace. Plus, it’ll give the offer time to bloom.

  2. Pay special attention to the numbers. Power is all in the numbers, so study your data and know your profit margins.

  3. Fail better. If something didn’t go as planned, how can you take that data and learn from it? Could it have failed because something bigger waits on the horizon? Allow yourself to believe in the possibilities rather than succumbing to the fear that one failure means you’re not on the right track.

For more information, watch this video.

  4. It’s not another podcast, program, or course that will help you elevate your business. The answer lies in the people around you. Support changes everything—focus on growing your circle of entrepreneurs. Find coaches and mentors who can guide you. If they haven’t walked your desired path, don’t ask them for directions.

What are your daily business essentials?

I use Asana for project management and workflows, Honeybook for CRM management, Flodesk for email marketing, and Canva for making quick graphics.

Tell us about your perspective on public relations and branding. How are they beneficial?

If no one knows about you, it will be impossible to succeed. If potential customers or sponsors discover your business, but the branding doesn’t match their expectations (or it doesn’t inspire confidence), you’re going to lose their business. PR introduces you to people and makes room for your brand to set you apart!

What advice would you give our readers who may be struggling to see successful results in their business?

Ask yourself these 2 questions:

  1. What do you hope your business will look like in 6 months?

  2. If you knew you could not fail, what would you do today to get closer to that vision? Now go and do that.

The difference between successful and failed businesses is sometimes that one extra step. Be bold. Take a deep breath, and take another step. Then another. That next client or customer could be just around the corner, so don’t give up.
