What are some of your biggest challenges as an entrepreneur?

We all saw challenges with Covid-19, especially in careers related to hospitality or events. However, I have also seen a plethora of new businesses, including mine, pop up during the pandemic. With the world’s ‘re-opening', if you will, business is booming. Clients are increasingly interested in PR, Marketing, Business Development, Event Production, and more. My main challenge now is hiring a team and sourcing talent in order to grow.

How have you successfully served such a diverse range of needs for companies?

While my clients vary in terms of industry, the end consumer is the same. Luxury is a broad term that incorporates fashion, food, wine, transportation, beauty, wellness, hospitality, art, design, and more. The typical consumer appreciates these and integrates them into their lifestyle. As a result, I form partnerships between the clients within my portfolio. For instance, I will connect designers to galleries or brands to retailers. Both established and emerging brands need the complete package when launching, including strategy, public relations, digital marketing, social media, website design, strategic partnerships, special events, etc. It is important to have the experience and ability to offer a diverse range of services to companies in this day and age.

What kind of growth would you like to see for your company in the next few years?

That is a great question. In all honesty, I did not expect the growth we had over the last two years, especially throughout the pandemic. I am in the process of signing larger, global clients and building a team in order to scale accordingly. I would eventually like to launch my own brand or hospitality project and perhaps even sell the company in the future.

Who or what is a big inspiration to you?

I am endlessly inspired. I have a large appetite for culture and am extremely curious by nature. I am also quite lucky to learn from my clients and projects constantly. Artists, Architects, Chefs, and Designers always have intriguing points of view. My job is to understand their inspiration and then relay their message to promote publicly. I often attend exhibitions, galleries, museums, and art and design fairs. However, my main inspiration comes from other people and cultures.

What is something you want your customers to know before they decide to work with you?

I am also deciding to work with them! I am careful to only work with individuals and companies that I admire, respect, and genuinely like. I interact directly with each of my clients daily, and I am fortunate to work with close friends and acquaintances and forge new relationships through work.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

It depends on the context. Overall, I lean towards classicism in terms of style (art, fashion, design). My favorite periods are Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and mid-century Modern. I especially enjoy Brazilian Modernist architecture. After the darkness of the last two years, I have a new appreciation for touches of whimsy. Jane Austen’s father once described her short stories as “effusions of fancy by a very young girl in a style entirely new.” I have always loved this description of a personal aesthetic. □
