Mad Batter Cookie Co. Founder, Madison Jenkins

How do you measure success at your company?

Mad Batter Cookie Co. originally began as a creative outlet. I’ve always loved baking and coming up with quirky and fun flavor combos (mad creations if you will). My family and I ran out of tummy room, so I started selling locally! During my senior year in business school, my capstone project was to create a business plan from scratch to ready to publish. I used Mad Batter Cookie Co. for this project and ended up actively running the business with it! After a brief intermission with a desk job as a Marketing Specialist for a year, I started full-time in February 2021.

What has been your most memorable moment in business so far?

Although my time in business has been brief compared to most, my most memorable moment so far has been my launch week. My order numbers were well above projected and I had to recruit my mom and husband to help box cookies! We had so much fun that week and were completely blown away with the support for Mad Batter Cookie Co.’s launch.

What is your favorite part about being a business owner?

My favorite part about being a business owner is creating! This is such a simple word that represents such profound action. Not only do I get to create delicious cookies experimenting with new recipes but, I also get to create such fun content around an inviting brand. Along with a brand comes building a community of amazing brand advocates. So I get to wake up every day and create content, community, AND cookies! That’s a golden combo!!
