You’re originally from Paris, France. Why did you move to California, and what do you like best about living in Los Angeles?
I moved 17 years ago after a job interview during a time in my life when I wanted to experience greater creative freedom. Los Angeles is, for me, a place where dreams come true. Here, I can connect to nature, feel inspired, and stand at the source of casual luxury.
As an artist, what inspires you? Are you inspired by any other artists in particular?
Art, architecture, travel, and music all greatly inspire me. I am not inspired by any particular artist; they all have a special talent I aspire to in my own creative process.
Your luxury denim brand, Sandrine Rose, is known for its effortless silhouettes and distinct embroidery. Can you tell us a little bit about your creative process when designing your pieces?
Along my travels, I collect pictures of landscapes and abandoned places all around the world. They help me create my color palette and embroidery details. I am a vintage collector, so I never miss a flea market. My silhouettes are based on vintage garments that I remake as originals.

Sandrine Rose is a brand made from pieces that will always make the wearer feel confident. It’s in the small details that you feel authentic and true to yourself. The denim is very detailed and oriented towards amazing quality, and the price point is affordable.

What advice would you give to a fashion designer in pursuit of their dreams?
Don’t ever give up on your vision, and stay open to any possibilities. □
