Get To Know Amelia & Hannah, of Amēnah Designs
Introduce yourself to our audience. How did Amēnah come to life? In 2017, we worked together as corporate buyers in the downtown LA fashion district and quickly realized that we share a similar appreciation for fashion and textiles. We spent our days off sitting in coffee shops and dreaming up what would later become AMĒNAH.
Founder of WVN, Kate Fisher
My name is Kate Fisher and I am the founder of WVN( pronounced woven), a new, modern brand that makes universally-loved women’s clothing with an unwavering commitment to sustainability and fair trade practices. I began my first apparel business in 1993 when I began selling clothes from my travels in India and Nepal at “Grateful Dead” concerts.
Meet The Three Sisters Who Founded Le Prunier
What do you think makes the three of you an excellent team? Our skills and interests lie in different areas, and I think that this has led to a really great working relationship. We collectively weigh in on many decisions, but ultimately our individual contributions complement each other. - Elaine Taylor
The Mind Behind The Soraya, Soraya Tafazoli
My Name is Soraya Tafazoli and I am the owner and the Creative Director of the brand, The Soraya, based in Dubai. I was inspired to take the artistic path in life because, growing up, I was surrounded by colors and canvases around my house.
Model and Fashionista, Anna Maria Olbrycht
My name is Anna Maria Olbrycht. I was born and raised in Poland, where I lived until I was 18 and moved to pursue a modeling career abroad. I was first based in London and later moved to Los Angeles for five years.
Frilliance Founder, Fiona Frills
I lacked self-confidence as a kid when I had skin issues. I used to draw freckles on my acne. I never wanted to take pictures. You have to remember that everything on social media is curated - there is a lot to a picture - and you can't judge anyone through social media because people are showing the “highlight reels” of their lives.
Founder Of Love + Lavender, Alex Sekulic
I opened Love + Lavender as a senior in high school at seventeen years old. Growing up, I always knew that I would work for myself one day. I have always been a fashionista, creative, and very outgoing.
